Our Story
So Smart. So Cool. So Easy.
Chillin started for a pretty simple reason: Queensland summers are hot, Queensland electricals can be older than they look, and there's a real shortage of trades that turn up when they say they will.
We work out of five branches now — Loganholme (HQ), North Lakes, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, and Toowoomba. Between them we cover Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Redland Bay, the Darling Downs, the Fraser Coast, and the Wide Bay region — everything from a single split system in a bedroom through to a full air and electrical fit-out in a new build.
The bits we care about: getting the install neat, explaining what we've actually done in plain English, and being reachable if something needs sorting out down the track.
Chillin-managed work means the job stays accountable from quote through to handover, with licensed trades, clear communication, and admin support back at base.

The People Behind Chillin
The Chillin Story
Rick Ager's journey in the trades started young. At just 15, he began an apprenticeship as an appliance mechanic. By 17, he was running his own washing machine repair business — and by his mid-twenties had built it into a serious operation with over 500 coin-operated machines and three laundromats across Queensland.
Over the years, Rick founded and grew a string of businesses across appliances, chemicals, air conditioning, and outdoor goods — always with the same focus: exceptional service and genuine care for customers.
In 2019, Rick married his high school sweetheart Deb, who joined him in the business. Together, they lead Chillin with a philosophy that's stayed consistent throughout Rick's career: do right by your customers, look after your people, and never cut corners on quality.
That same ethos is what drives the Chillin team today - from the technicians on site to the admin team back at base. A healthy work-life culture is not a poster on a wall here; it is how we keep good people, protect the standard of work, and give customers a calmer experience.
